Driver held on suspicion of Motorcyclist’s Murder
September 18th, 2006 by R.J.
Maynor Javier Palmer, of Los Angeles, is being held on suspicion of Murder after a collision with Chino resident Earl Nathasingh.
Nathasingh was riding his 2001 Honda CBR motorcycle on Sunday about 9:45pm when he ran into the passenger side of the 1990 Honda Accord driven by Palmer. Nathasingh was taken to California Hospital Medical Center in critical condition where he was pronounced dead early Monday.
Palmer attempted to flee following the accident, but was detained by local residents.
Normally, a story like this wouldn’t make any sort of headlines. Driver hits Motorcyclist? Big deal. It happens all the time. What makes this one different is that Palmder was arrested and they are holding him on suspicion of murder.
Palmer was driving under the influence Sunday night when the accident occurred. However, this wasn’t the first time he had been convicted of DUI. So instead of booking him for yet-another-DUI, he was arrested on suspicion of Murder.
Hopefully the Judge will deal out a just prison sentence…. But, I have my doubts.
